The food is awesome. They couldn't provide me with the correct information regarding the difference between the regular and extra crispy fried chicken, so I ordered the wrong one. The one in my photos is the extra crispy one. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
What Derrick Au dislikes about Muku Ramen:
Nice place to eat for a quick bite. Karaage (fried chicken 5 pieces), Pork Chashu Don, and Shoyu ramen. The food was okay...actually I had a craving for ramen these days, and I had my fill with today's order. It felt like drinking an entire bowl of grease.Ambience 3.5Food 3.5Service 3.5Value 3.5AFSV average 3.5 across the board! View all feedback.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and it has become one of my top ramen spots in the city. The menu offers a great balance of traditional and innovative flavors. The Red Devil ramen is perfect for those who enjoy a spicy kick, while the Black Shoyu has a subtle smokiness that sets it apart. The appetizers, particularly the chicken karagee, are also worth trying for their delicious taste.

Came here for lunch on a workday after being intrigued by their menu. I really enjoyed the food! I got the black miso ramen and pork gyoza. The pork gyoza was good, it came out on a sizzling platter and they poured some tonkotsu stock on top. I liked this presentation and the gyoza soaked up the tonkotsu flavour. I did like the tonkotsu and gyoza flavour together (confused about another reviewer who said they couldn 't taste it? , though the crispiness of the gyoza is lost in the process. However, i think this is the best way to execute this idea if the gyoza were prepared by any other softer method, the skin would just be too soggy. Another note is that the gyoza are served with a really nice vinegary soy sauce, but it was hard to taste it in combination with the tonkotsu flavour. possibly having the dipping sauce be more viscous, like a glaze, would help distinguish the flavours better. As for the black miso ramen, i really enjoyed it. The tonkotsu broth had a good level of funkiness, authenticity, and depth. it was a perfect amount of saltiness for myself as well, such that i could enjoy drinking the broth by itself. the charcoal aromatic oil was interesting too, adding an interesting earthiness, and also it kind of left a lingering tannin/prickly like sensation on my tongue. The thicker, bouncy noodles served as a well picked accompaniment to the broth. And the toppings were all wonderful! The chashu was lean and thickly cut it tasted tender and like it had a nice brining because the flavour was great throughout. I adored the corn fritter so much it added a great texture when crisp, and tasted soooo good when soaking in the tonkotsu. the blanched bean sprouts and ground meat also worked with the dish.finally, i was greeted and served by a stoic and silent but attentive man. He didn 't say much but still knew when to bring my check and when i was ready to order at the exact right time. I really enjoyed this different style of service.overall, i really enjoyed the creativity in the food, and it was cheaper for ramen shops as well. I will definitely be coming back for more i want to try the matcha vegetarian option (it is cool that they have two veggie options!!! never seen a ramen shop have that many options and some of the japas too.
I waited around 15 minutes on a Wednesday evening at Muku Ramen, a cozy little spot in Central Square. The ramen was fresh, and the broth was very flavorful. Both the black shio and the signature miso are excellent choices from the menu. I would definitely return, although it's not ideal for large groups because of the limited seating. The service was decent, but a bit on the slow side.
I visited Muku Ramen looking for a new lunch spot, and I was pleased with the experience. The service was friendly, and they offered a QR Code menu for convenience. I tried the Spicy Miso Ramen, and I was pleasantly surprised by the corn fritter—it was a unique touch that I hadn't encountered in other ramen dishes. I usually expect sweet or roasted corn, but this was a great addition. However, there may have been a few too many bean sprouts in my bowl; I felt like there were more sprouts than noodles. My total bill was around $20, which felt reasonable. Overall, it was a solid bowl of ramen.
