The personal did not care to update google maps with the right business hours. as a result we spent the time just to see the closed doors.
It is a year since we were last here, and we come for our usual coffee and cake. Car parking is on the street, but not difficult. My first need is a toilet, so I follow the Rest Room sign, trying three store rooms along the way!! The staff are attentive and friendly, the dining area spacious and light. This café has a good feeling. I notice that you can get breakfast and brunch here, as well as gelati. They advertise a wood oven – my guess is for pizzas. There is a range of very interesting looking cakes on display. We order and our cake and drinks are quickly brought to the table. My cappuccino has high froth as requested, but we have some doubts about our chosen cake: the pistachio and raspberry tart might well have carried the label ‘apricot’! But it is tasty enough. A pleasant experience, if just a little pricey.
I've eaten here a couple of times and as it's "my local" have neighbours and friends who eat/dine here frequently. Warm and cozy in winter, open and relaxed in summer. Always great friendly service. The food is good quality and is delicious and well presented. It gets quite busy on the weekends with the Mt Lofty walkers passing trade. They are happy to serve a coffee but it shines as a casual restaurant with wood oven pizza (vegetarian my favourite) hamburgers and a choice of "proper" meals. They also have a breakfast menu.
Had to change my 8 week old sons diaper on the floor of the disabled toilets.. not really good enough.
