Booked a table as very few options in Bath on Sunday evening. Service was friendly but slow seemed to be only one server for many tables Crab and avo starter had v little crab! Prawn and chorizo starter was awful- 4 v small prawns and 5 pieces of chorizo we complained and it was taken off the bill. Mushrooms on sour dough was fine. Main courses were ok but nothing special. The service was quick and the food was of a high quality, but the waitress was very impersonal and abrupt. Additionally, they automatically add a 10% surcharge to the bill for even just two people, though they state that it is optional in the fine print. They do not ask for permission before adding this charge, which they should do as a matter of common courtesy.
This restaurant is a great place to meet up with friends for lunch. The food may be simple, but it is delicious. The service, although a bit slow at times, was still good when it was provided.
