All the people comin... read more We had checked at 2 of the usual breakfast places we go in Barrie and the lines were ridiculous, so we thought we'd look for other options. All the people coming up for the weekend were pulling off the highway and going filling up all the places that were right on Bayfield street. We stopped in at Fil's and had an amazing meal without having to wait for a table. I got the Greek omelet and I have to say, Fil knows what he's doing.My wife had a hot roast beef (why I helped finish). It's after dinner now and I still want to go back and get more of that gravy.On one hand, I'm baffled that this place doesn't have a line out the door every morning. On the other hand, it's really nice that I don't have to wait to get a table. We'll definitely go back. A lot.

Made and great decision from the reviews and this, will be back.

He's only bettered... read more I wish more people would come and experience Fils Cafe. Fil offers a personal touch you just can't find at any of the surrounding franchises. He's only bettered by his wife Litsa. This Greek couple make you feel like you're in their home for a meal. If you're lucky to frequent the restaurant like I have since 2009 you may even feel like family. Take your friends, family or just yourself to Fils for some great food in a unique atmosphere. You'll wonder why you haven't been coming all along.

The owners are wonderful people who had half the diners laughing several times. The Greek food was excellent—I had the souvlaki on a bun, and their homemade hot sauce is fantastic! I'll definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Barrie!
