While there are many fantastic di... read more As somewhat of a local (from Tryon, NC), we've visited Brooks Tavern numerous times, and it has consistently been outstanding! While there are many fantastic dishes on the menu, we particularly recommend the fried mushroom appetizer, the Smash burger, and the Monte Cristo sandwich. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring excellent service. We highly recommend Brooks Tavern to both locals and visitors in the area. And don’t forget to try the Giggle Water—it’s sure to induce some giggles!

I haven't had cajun/creole this good since a trip to New Orleans. The staff at this place make it feel very warm and welcoming, and the server was top notch. I'm sitting here eating the Beignets for breakfast the morning after and they're incredible. Absolute recommend, go here if you end up in Charlotte.
