The food takes a long time to come out. Before the restaurant became fully vegan, they made a mistake with our order and included cheese even though we mentioned we were vegan. We waited 30 minutes for simple nachos. The smoothie was delicious and satisfying. (Updated from a previous review on April 30, 2024)
I enjoyed this restaurant because of its laid-back ambiance, extensive vegan menu, and delicious food.
I understand that this restaurant takes a slower approach to service by the beach, but waiting an hour for food and 50 minutes for drinks/desserts is excessive. This is especially frustrating considering that desserts are pre-made and drinks are simple to prepare. If you are feeling hungry, I would recommend going elsewhere. The food is on the pricey side, lacks flavor, and the portions are quite small. It appears that the menu is fully vegan, which is a plus, and the quaint café building is charming. The staff is friendly, but I may consider giving them another chance. Keep in mind that they only accept cash. If you are ordering takeout, be prepared for a wait of at least an hour as the staff will inform you. I am rating them four stars because they are the only vegan café in Zushi.
Most recent visit was after a nice hike, its great to be able to finish with tasty food (which you could take to the beach on a nice day). Burger is good for what it is but don't expect something traditional (or particularly large/ filling). Love the ice cream though with the cinnamon taste.
Mostly vegan, very delicious. Waitress made sure to check if we wanted cheese the burrito and confirmed no eggs in the waffles. Happy to see vegan dessert options. Restaurant has a sort of beach-shack vibe. Spacious and nice atmosphere with lots of natural light. You can also buy muffins and other desserts at the front of the store.
