We went there ona Sunday for lunch, my husband, my mother in law both are Swiss) and our three kids: 5 year old and twins of 19 months. I’ve reserved a table with 2 high chairs. Upon arrival all seemed perfect, we sat and the waitress took our order and the twins were happily clapping on the table waiting for the food to come. None of my kids was crying or screaming, only clapping. The owner came to us and asked us to move to the back room “where we could be alone”, he said that the restaurant was a place to read, read and talk. I was a bit upset, he could have said so when I did the reservation as i talked with him. I thanked him and decline his offer. He then went from table to table asking all other guests if they were ok with us staying...., I mean WTF? Well, all said it was ok, a couple even got up and came to us to tell us how good our kids are they rarely cry at all).At the end we picked our stuff, and the twins have eaten fries with meat and there were like 6 fries on the floor, he came and said to my mother in law, that there were so many fries in there, that if we were sure we didn’t want him to pack them up to give them as dinner! What an idiot, poor, angry man, he was lucky i wasn’t there when he said so!We are definitely never going there again!
The small kiosk with cool drinks, snacks and coffee is located along the hiking trail exactly where you need it. Well maintained and welcoming! You can just sit there and enjoy the view. No prices are mentioned, payment is made on the basis of trust via Twint or in cash. I very much hope that this self-service model pays off for the operating family and that the refreshment point will remain open for a long time.
