We have been going to Giardino's for about 9 years both the food service were always great but last night it was outstanding. I had pasta pockets filled with asparagus with a light creamy wild garlic (bärlauch) sauce. It was perfect! I had dinner here Greek salad to start and then what proved to be a slightly overgenerous portion of vitello tonnato I was a bit skeptical about how it looked, when it arrived. I probably should't have eaten it. That night after...dinner, I was very ill and have been for the last 4 days hopefully now clearing. It was nice experience to be here for dinner. I was fortunate to have a dinner with our software architect. It really felt so nice.
We both ordered Pizza. Delivery was fast but the quality was poor. Both pizzas were not really long enough in the oven and were too thick and doughy. The topping on my pizza was sort of OK but the other one was indeed poor. The house wine was served chilled (red). When it warmed up a little it was apparent why....a Really cheap wine actually and way overpriced. The waiter has however really nice and friendly. Box ticked...we will not be going back
We visited Giardino in the evening. The terrace outside was nice but nothing special. Food and service were both good. Bruschetta, cannelloni, tomato soup and pasta were all good.
