Second review (2026): This time, I was pleasantly surprised by the completely different experience. While I didn't order the schnitzel, all the dishes I did order were good and tasty. This includes the meatloaf, the herring, and the tomato soup. The service was good, and the owner is a real character. We even ate there twice. First review (2019): The one star is only justified because the Zingster Scheune was open on a Monday – most restaurants currently (February) have designated Monday and Tuesday as their days off, are either renovating, or are simply taking a long winter break. The salad served with the main courses was also quite tasty – hence the two stars overall (with reservations). Otherwise, the schnitzel seemed thawed. I cannot recommend it. The overpriced soups served as starters didn't help matters.
We were very satisfied. We were greeted warmly, served quickly, and the food was fantastic! We had the onion soup with apple and a kind of bruschetta – absolutely delicious!

Es heißt ja,das das erste Glas Wein im Restaurant die eingekaufte Flasche bezahlt...mitnichten...hier wird mit dem ersten Glas die Kiste bezahlt....der Wein : Sauer und fuer 5.90€ haette ich mehr erwartet..meine Frau traute sich nicht den Wein zurück zu geben..das Glas ging voll zurück...wurde auch nicht nachgefragt...das Essen ueberteuert und war dem Preis nicht gerecht, zudem kam das die Abzugshause nicht im Betrieb war...dementsprechend rochen wur dann...
Gute Qualität und Service - einfach lecker - wir waren sehr zufrieden!!! Ein MUSS - Fisch mit selbstgemachter Remoulade!
Obwohl das kleine Restaurant zu Silvester bis zum buchstäblich letzten Platz besetzt war, war sowohl das Servicepersonal superfreundlich als auch das Essen bestens. Jeder fühlte sich wohl und war mit dem Abend sicher hochzufrieden. Jederzeit gerne wieder!
Wir waren zum wiederholten Male in der Scheune. Wie gewohnt war die Bedienung super freundlich, das Essen war frisch zubereitet und Kürbissuppe frisch und super lecker. Pasta aus der Karte wurde auch als Kinderportion gereicht. Super Service.
Essen war eigentlich sehr gut und schmackhaft... Ja es ist etwas teurer aber man ist ja auch nicht an einer Imbissbude in der Stadt ... Die Bestuhlung draussen hätte saubere und trocken sein können daher der Punkt Abzug ansonsten macht man hier nix falsch ...

Service 1A (Nadine), food quality, price justified. We were in the Zingster barn on two days and were very satisfied.
We tested in 4 days holiday in Zingst -4 restaurants and the barn was by far the best, friendly, fastest and tasty restaurant all!!! Thank you. We come very determined and very happy again!!!

19.08.2019 20:30 Friendship: barely present Ambience: Standard pub, somewhat assigned. In the pub 50% Polish is spoken German. Unfortunately no Polish courts. Map: clear, nothing special, prices all around 15€, many ready meals are included. I think that is remarkable for a holiday region. Operation/kitchen: 6 young people with little motivation and a little bit too little look for the customers. Reminds me of mercenaries, there was also the feeling that the condition today would rather not want any more customers. The customer also receives cut-out glasses (3x). Operation only looks at videos behind the counter. Ordering process: does not run constant. Forget drink. Mrs. said at the table (after conscious repetition) she would have noticed... no she didn't. Unfortunately, no eye contact because the colleague was verbally busy with her colleagues, so I had to finish the audience for the counter and the conversation. SORRY! Eat: Even the decorated finished dishes taste inconspicuous after preparation, or rather not. There are no regional dishes/drinks, although the region has a lot to offer. Really sad. Food was muffled, price 100% bucket milk rice came from refrigerator carrots ginger soup tasted sour and with nies to ginger. Had, thanks to the column, rather the character of tomato. The colleague did not understand. Too bad. Tortellini, came as a ready-made dish, garnished with cheese and field salad and salmon. It was tastefully a fader porridge. 1x wine with syrup? 1x apple choir 1x beer, in triple broken glass 46.90€
