I visited on August 21st, thinking it would be crowded in September. I arrived at 11 o'clock and ordered the "ayu set meal" with ayu rice instead of white rice. I saw on TV before a dish with ayu fish and eggs, something I've never tried before. So I decided to go check it out! The staff were friendly and the ayu fish was delicious. It was amazing that you could eat the whole fish, bones and all! The crab soup was also very tasty.
The ayu sashimi was delicious! We made a reservation this time. You might not be able to eat without a reservation. The salt-grilled ayu has a small head so you can eat all of it deliciously! Salt is definitely recommended over miso for ayu.
