Bahnhofbuffet Kandersteg - Zermatt

Stopped here early this evening after striking out at Marie's Deli Zermattit was too pricey for us, which by the way, none of the reviews had mentionedand was greeted in a friendly manner by one of the waiters. We looked at the menu, and it...looked pretty good. Decided to stay and order two glasses of red, Chianti for my husband and Montepulciano D'Abruzzo for me. We like to share as we both have the same taste in wine. Both were 4.30 CHF great deal. When our wine came, the Montepulciano was really good, but the Chianti was another story. It tasted like extremely watered down wine. My husband asked the same friendly waiter if he could switch over to the Montepulciano because of how watered down it was, and the man looked at us as if we were being absurd and flatout said *No.* I understand if it were a more expensive glass of wine that it could be an issue, but really, at 4.30 a glass, you'd imagine the bottle itself to be no more than 812 CHF in store. Even at home, a restaurant would be more than happy to fulfill your request. Either way, that had put a sour taste in our mouth to start off the evening. We did, however, have a nice waitress who had taken our order, but that was it. To end, we had waited long for our waiter to notice that we had finished our meal and were ready to pay the check. No apology, and we were all too happy to leave. Would not return nor would not recommend.

One of the few restaurants served in cermatt hot meals on the afternoon. we tried lasagna: a dream with homemade pasta. I tried. Thank you!

Really good location, just at the train station. Staff was very friendly with me also the Manager Luciano who was very friendly and polite. The restaurant is open very early and close very very late, if you need something to eat at the end of...the day this restaurant offer you till almost mid night something to eat

Jun 16 lunch: Post our trip to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, we came to Zermatt station and found this place. We got a place quite quickly, the food was good pizza, rissotto, beers and finally ice cream. The service could have been quicker as we...had to get thier attention many times.

The place is really a bistro, so nothing glamorous. For the prices being charged, you can go to a nicer establishment. The service was friendly, and the food was quick as there were no other diners. We had a margarita and prosciutto pizza with salad.
