Had lunch with whole family. Really nice view to Matterhorn from the terrace. Friendly service. Tasty dumplings and fantastic mixed salad with chicken (fitness menu meal). We will come again. View all feedback.
What Mirjam Steffen doesn't like about Alpenrose:
Don’t go to this restaurant towards end of season! They served the most watered down gulasch soup I have ever encountered. And the service staff when trying to be forthcoming were clearly told off by the chef. The salad we ordered was also poor ham straight from prepackaged box... The only redeeming feature of the restaurant is the outdoor seating with great view. Only go here for the view! View all feedback.
Very well maintained and clean. Felt more like a big hotel than a B&B. Very friendly and helpful staff who knew everything to do in Zermatt.
We had tasty lunch in a quiet environment with an excellent service. The restaurant offers local meals for a good price without pretending anything.

A must on the patio!! Don’t even ask for a menu. Get the mixed salad and the hash browns with onions, bacon and cheese and call it a day. Unbelievably good food and the view...well .. you know.
