It was a bit slow one evening, but it felt like they knew I was on my way, and I ended up having the best ribs I've ever tasted.

As an active-duty soldier, every time I return to Zephyrhills on leave, my wife and I usually eat at Sonny's. However, this time, while driving past Tubby's Q Smokehouse, I decided to give it a try, as it has been around for a few years. When we walked in, we were the only ones there, which made me wonder if that was a bad sign. Nevertheless, my wife and I each ordered a half rack of ribs. To be honest, they could easily give Sonny's and any other BBQ restaurant a run for their money. These were, without a doubt, the best ribs I've ever had! The owner, Mr. Tubby, was also there, mingling with customers and asking how they were enjoying their meal, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. Overall, it was a great experience, and I definitely plan to return with everyone I know!

Lovely place. I had the privilege of being waited on by the owner of the restaurant. David V, AKA Tubby . Terrific service, clean, very nice decor. The food was easily some of the best bbq I 've ever eaten. The baked beans, as well as the rice, were two very good sides. For 1.50 a side you get plenty of it also.The brisket sandwich was out of this world! The brisket sandwich comes on a large bun. So if you get it thinking it 's not going to fill you up. Think again. I will most assuredly be coming back to this establishment.I recommend anyone who likes quality BBQ to please come here. You will not be disappointed.-Dan

This place was absolutely amazing! The interior was spotless, the customer service was friendly, and the food was so delicious that you’ll forget about any other spots you’ve tried. I ordered the brisket sandwich and pulled pork, and honestly, I expected smaller portions due to the affordable prices, but I was completely wrong. I had the seasoned rice with chicken and peppers along with the brisket sandwich, and I was so full I could barely stand. Fortunately, I have some delicious leftovers for later. Our server turned out to be the owner, and I must say, it’s refreshing to see such humility in family-run businesses! I’d rate this a perfect 5 out of 5.
