Very good food and a nice place. Super affordable, the prices of 1990. Pommes were good at home and eggs were perfectly cooked. Definitely will be back for breakfast. Coffee leaves much to wish, very weak, but some people like it. Could also use a small cleaning around the edges. Nevertheless, we loved our visit and we were made to feel welcome. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. Prices were incredibly affordable, reminiscent of the 1990s. The fries were tasty and the eggs were cooked to perfection. I will definitely return for breakfast. However, the coffee could use some improvement, as it was quite weak, although some might enjoy it. A little more attention to cleanliness around the edges would also be beneficial. Despite these minor issues, we really enjoyed our visit and felt very welcome. I’m surprised by some of the previous reviews claiming the food was bad. It’s simple home-cooked style fare, but the advantage is that you don’t have to do any of the work or cleaning yourself.
The space is intimate, but unlike many other crowded spots, it doesn’t make you feel cramped. They only accept cash, which is part of how they keep their prices unbelievably low—I'm talking about LOW. We had three meals (each with 2 eggs, potatoes or a meat option, bacon or sausage, and toast) for two people, a fried steak with 2 eggs, shared an order of cookies and gravy, and added a pancake. The total came to under $24, and coffee is complimentary with meals. You’d easily pay $40 at a chain restaurant for half the food, and it would probably be cold. If you're wondering how they keep prices so low, they operate with a simple yet effective setup: just three staff members even during peak times—a busser, a server who seamlessly moves from table to table, and one chef who is also the owner. They work efficiently, ensuring quick table turnover. Just remember to bring cash when you visit. With 22 years of successful operation, they clearly have it figured out!
Fantastic breakfast and excellent value! I've never had a bad meal here, and they offer plenty of free coffee to complement your meal. The service is outstanding due to the cozy atmosphere, and the owner is also the chef. Just a heads up: make sure to bring cash, as that's the only downside to their low prices.
It is an excellent small quiet place to eat. Friendly staff.
A hidden treasure specializing in breakfast, first time there I will go back often, great food, nice people!
