Rake's Place - Zanesville

To be honest, I live like 3 miles from this place and didn't know it existed. great personal amazing eating, bar / child sitting art by vibe. great place to bring a date. outside it looks very ma and pa, but the inner is a completely different mood. freshly renovated and they even had USB ports at each stand.

Once again, we found ourselves in a setting straight out of a James Bond movie with another bartender. I made the mistake of ordering a dry gin martini, stirred not shaken, but was disappointed to find large chunks of ice in my glass. Our cocktails took longer than expected to arrive, so we decided to just have one appetizer. The fried clams were delicious and served hot, with a tasty sauce on the side. The restaurant had ample parking and was wheelchair accessible. The menu had a good variety of reasonably priced options. It was clear that this was a popular spot with locals, as we had to wait for a table on a Sunday night.

Service was great. We ordered Cilantro Chicken Pork Chops. Both lacked flavor were dry. The rolls veggies were good. We will probably not return. The Patio area was nice comfortable. Thanks

I ordered the filet mignon and it was hands down the best in town. It was incredibly thick and tender, cooked perfectly medium rare. The buttery garlic sauce on top was the perfect addition. The summer vegetables, zucchini and squash, were also delicious. I have a gluten allergy and the chef was able to accommodate my request for a separate pan. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

I had an incredible dining experience at Rake's! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The staff in the front of the house were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend visiting Rake's if you're in the area. Don't pay attention to the previous reviewers who complained about the prices being too high - a meal of similar quality and size at Red Lobster costs the same, but Rake's surpasses it in every aspect of quality.
