Exactly what we were looking for. Classic diner with a pleasant decor. Outstanding service. Great breakfast meals. We sat in the back room and had a view of the cove/entrance to the river. What Greg Harris doesn't like about Youngstown Village Diner:
My wife and I eat here all the time. I order eggs Benedict and one pancake. Today, my pancake was half the size(same price though) as usual. I complained to my waitress, black hair glasses.. I even showed my waitress a food pic from 3 weeks ago showing the difference in portion size. She literally could not care less. Just gave me a snooty response. This restaurant is a hidden gem! My wife ordered the Orange Chicken Salad, and I went for the Reuben Sandwich. We ended up sharing our dishes, and both were outstanding! The Reuben was incredibly flavorful, and the salad had a perfect mix of tastes. We're currently staying at a nearby state park, and we’re definitely planning to come back before we head back south.
Delicious food and the salads are fantastic! They come in generous portions and are packed with a variety of ingredients. I'm especially fond of the Greek chicken salad.
This is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The food is excellent—definitely real home fries, not those frozen, deep-fried pieces you often find. The staff is warm and accommodating, ensuring you'll have a seat even when the restaurant is bustling. If you're fortunate, you might snag a table with a lovely view of the river. This place is a must-visit in this charming village.
