was the first time at masaki. my children eat a lot of sushi. they said that was the best they ever had! What Lukey McCoy doesn't like about Masaki Sushi:
Our reservations were right as the restaurant opened. They weren't prepared for our arrival. It took over 10minutes to be asked for our beverage. There was no background music or anything playing very awkwardly quiet, it felt like we couldn't even speak. Food was cold, almost like they pulled it out of a refrigerator and warmed it up. Very disappointed overall View all feedback.
I would give this 5 stars if I could! The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We were given a menu that showed dietary preferences, including vegan. We had the wakame salad which was amazing and not vinegary like some. We had the vegetable gyoza which were equally delicious with a very tasty dipping sauce. The agedashi tofu was flavorful but we were surprised that it was made with silken tofu. Personally, I would have preferred a firmer tofu. We also had 2 rolls the vegetable roll and the yam tempura roll. They were both very fresh and delicious! Even though the yam roll says tempura, it is not a battered roll. We recently ate here while on a weekend getaway in NOTL. The food is so good! They have a separate menu for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The staff are really friendly and attentive.
The service was good. The food was disappointing. Soup to salty and scallops were boiled, not worth the price. Service: Dine in price per person: CA$40–50
