During our visit to Youngstown to see my sister's daughter, we decided to have lunch at Knafa. We tried the Mezza Platter and were blown away by the delicious babaganoush. The chef's homemade touch was evident in every dish, from the freshly baked pitas to the flavorful falafel, hummus, dolmades, and kibbeh. Horrible. STAY AWAY! When I first walked in I was skoffed at by the 2 employees behind the counter, maybe because I'm a white male wearing hi-viz and work boots. Anyway, I order the falafel, came out soggy and undercooked, didn't taste like fresh herb or garbanzo at all! I also ordered the lamb, which I thought would be juicy and tender, BUT IT WASNT! AT ALL! We ordered for our office. The owner was very professional and took care of us. They labeled all of our food, and we received our entire order. The response from the office was positive and everyone enjoyed their meals.
Whenever we drive out to OH to visit family, we make sure to stop at Knafa. Their food never disappoints. It's incredibly flavorful and the portions are very generous. The staff is helpful and welcoming, and the atmosphere is comfortable. We'll be back many times in the future!
Wonderful restaurant, the service was warm and friendly, the food was delicious and plentiful, the prices were unbelievably fair, and the atmosphere was charming. Quick hop off the freeway, too! P.S. I didn't mention that I was dining in, so they packaged it to go. But otherwise, I would have been plated up.

I had to add another review!! Knafa just keeps getting better, I tried the Greens with chicken today and it was out of this world. The food is always fresh, the owners are always friendly, and everything is so yummy. If you are thinking about trying it, don't hesitate!! My new favorite is the gyro over rice bowl! We held a business meeting of 17 people at Knafa. All I can say is AMAZING.... the service was friendly and fast, the food was so incredible. If you are looking for delicious, fresh food, this is the place!!
