I had accidentally left my licence in my scanner in Sydney but... read more I booked online with Expedia but was refused a room from the extremely rude woman at the counter. I had accidentally left my licence in my scanner in Sydney but had the credit card that I had paid with. I was really left high and dry and this woman was in no way apologetic. She also made a lot of statements that were just plain untrue such as ‘everywhere’ will need ID, although I booked another place down the road with no problem. She seemed quite angry at the world and at me. Others on here say they have something against out of Towners and it would seem that this is true. You can keep your pub, love. It looks like a dive anyway!

The staff were very accommodating, couldn't do enough for us including opening up the shed to garage our overnight. The bathrooms are very tired, however they are apparently being renovated soon. Such considerate care taken to help us with our motorbikes for staying the night. That's exactly the kind of country hospitality that makes travel around Australia a pure joy. Thanks Jamie and staff. Highly recommend! Rooms: Absolutely perfect clean room, great online last minute deal, sheets were as nice as a luxury hotel. Big ceiling fan, modern wall heater/air conditioning, big TV, bar fridge. Shared clean bathroom right across the hall. Perfect for us. Walkability: Right in the centre of town, our room had a view out to the main street. Food drinks: $16 Kiev and also ordered Sticky Date Pudding. The ice cream was delicious... 5 star ice cream! Noteworthy details: Venue kindly accommodated safe keeping of our motorcycles for the night. So grateful. Thankyou.
