Undoubtedly the best and most welcoming restaurant in Ireland to eat fish and seafood. They also have meats, cheeses...exploited by a family who loves their profession, their traditions,...if anyone goes, don't forget to order the homemade bread they bake and the natural smoked salmon.
Have had the chowder here on numerous occasions and it has been consistently divine. Full of fish, super hot and still not heavy. Delicious. Not be beaten anywhere.
We went to dinner last night. The staff were very friendly and everyone enjoyed their meals, all were delicious. There was a wide variety of fish to choose from. The piano player is a beautiful touch, he was amazing. Will definitely be back.
Stayed in Ahernes recently for 3 nights. We couldn’t be happier with the very friendly welcome from David and the team. The food was excellent catering for a coeliac without any issues. The home made bread was ‘the best ever’….. thanks Anne!, we left with the recipe! A super location for a relaxing break.
Excellent food but on the pricey side. Staff very helpful and friendly.
