They offer two types of morning sets, and I tried the Salad Morning set which had a good balance of coffee, bread, and salad. The bread was served with butter. The waiting time for the food was normal. The staff's service was adequate. I heard that it can get busy during lunchtime, so it might be a good idea to avoid that time if you want to relax.
I occasionally go to Morning Chikai for breakfast. The staff may not be very friendly, but you can relax without being disturbed early in the morning. Also, the morning set is only 500 yen, so it's not bad.
