Zen Cafe & Lounge - York

On Friday night, we discovered that they host live music every Friday and Saturday. Upon entering, we were greeted with a festive atmosphere reminiscent of Christmas, with decorations and trees still on display. The café was softly lit, with two musicians performing beautiful music at the front.

I was lunch in the restaurant with my little daughter and when we there, there is no customer during a rush lunch hour. But we wanted to find somewhere there is accepted cards for the payment, we have not much choice in that mall, so...we sat down and ordered two dishes. I was ordered a Popcorn Chicken on Rice and I ordered Seafood Spaghetti for my little daughter. I have never ever had rice in just a bit warm, seems like rice was left from last night but the popcorn chicken is taste ok but none display for the professional restaurant supposed should had. And my daughter just had only one bite and spit it out. Then I waited for the Seafood Spaghetti I hope my daughter may interested. But it was disappointed me again, the Spaghetti was so hard to chew and my daughter not ever able eat. Just want to mention my daughter just years old only, so we packed all the dishes home end up for my two dogs. And I was disappointed the service too, they will just came to ask what you want, hand out the food and hide all the time after served you food.

I’ve always wanted to enter Zen Café Lounge to try their mille crepe cakes out. It was a Friday night and it turned out that they have live music every Friday and Saturday night. Walking in, it felt like we were in the Christmas...season again. They still had many of their Christmas decorations and trees out. It was dimly lit with the two musicians playing really nice music at the front of the café. There were other customers inside too enjoying some drinks, snacks, and the live music. It’s hard to describe the mood and atmosphere but it was an absolutely wonderful and intimate evening. The music wasn’t too loud so we were still able to hear each other and enjoy each other’s company. We ordered the combo for one that included a drink and a mini cheesecake. The mini cheesecake was incredibly cute and miniature. It was a really rich and dense chocolate cheesecake that I really liked.

An offer of 5% from Yelp brought us in tonight_I really like the menu and here offers a variety of tea, coffee and alcoholic selections.

It was a Saturday night and we were in the mood for some late night desserts and sweets.
