The restaurant offers tasty food with a simple yet good service. The portions, however, are very small. The ambience is old but acceptable. The Montreal smoked meat sandwich and corned beef sandwich were delicious, but some dishes, like the latka, were disappointing. The service varied from excellent with few customers to poor when busy. Overall, the restaurant is a great option for deli lovers, especially for those missing downtown Toronto deli sandwiches. The food quality is consistent, with highlights including potato pancakes, tomato cabbage soup, cabbage rolls, and liver and bacon. A great place to satisfy a craving for a smoked meat sandwich.

Was Anonym at Shopsy's a mag?
This is a great place for Deli and certainly easier to get to than there downtown location . Place is packed at lunch due to the good service and great Deli offered. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Shopsy's:
The place needs a major face lift. The servers seem to have no personality at all The food is average and very expensive for what your getting.. Unfortunately I cannot say anything positive on my first and last experience here.. View all feedback.

Food was tasty, ambience old, but ok, service simple but good. portions were VERY SMALL!!! We had a smoked meat and a corned beef sandwich. Both were very tasty and the fries were excellent. The amount of meat was more like an appetizer than lunch??!!

The food was okay but the service was not friendly at all! Wait staff seem quite put off when we asked for the wi-fi password and when the one that she gave us didn't work, she had no interest at all in trying to find the right one.

I ordered the roast beef sandwich on an onion bun with a side of fries. The roast beef was not as juicy as Katz's, but the fries were better than McDonald's.

I had a strong craving for a smoked meat sandwich and this place did not disappoint. The sandwich was delicious and could easily compete with the deli places in the Greater Toronto Area.
