I had a disappointing experience with a tall, thin, tanned guy with curly hair who was working the night shift on Arsenal Road in York. He was quite rude to me regarding the ranch dipping sauce that I ordered with my wings online. According to the app, wings come with up to two free dipping sauces, and any additional sauces are $0.50 each. However, this employee insisted that I had to pay for every dipping sauce I requested. His attitude was completely unprofessional and unwarranted. Fortunately, I was on my lunch break, so I had to leave instead of addressing his behavior. I really think it's important for your staff to be trained in customer service to avoid situations like this.
I visited Sheetz tonight to grab a sandwich and a snack, and I was appalled by what I saw. An employee was smoking outside, and while I don't mind if people smoke, she was wearing gloves as if she'd been handling food. I had just walked into the store right before she did, and I watched her come back inside and go straight to work without changing her gloves. It was absolutely disgusting. This completely ruined my appetite for the food I had ordered. How could I be sure she hadn't touched my food or anything else? She was also touching the doors and various surfaces with those same gloves. This is completely unacceptable. After this experience, I won't be eating here again. I can't believe Sheetz allows their employees to act in such an unsanitary way.
I never write reviews, as I believe that no one would honestly care about what I think. Nevertheless, I am hoping this review will get to Sheetz management so they can fix this store and fix it fast. Honestly, I would give zero stars if I could. I have ordered MTO from this Sheetz enough times to know to stay away. I have ordered a smoothie from here on a few different occasions only for them to get my order wrong each and every time. The final straw was recently, when I ordered a few items via DoorDash, specifically two large bags of chips. When my order arrived, I received two small bags of chips, that ended up costing me 10.00 or about 5.00 a bag for a 3.25 oz bag of chips. The woman I spoke with on the phone was pleasant, but told me I had to contact DoorDash in order to get my money back or come up to the store in order to fix my order, which in and of itself, negates the convenience of online delivery. If I wanted to come up to the store to purchase things, I would have. Is it too much to expect that my order gets fulfilled correctly? I didn’t know what Sheetz had fulfilled the order until after. If I had known this Sheetz was going to be the one to fulfill my order, I definitely would’ve canceled it. Any other time, it would not be a huge deal to me, however this is a pattern of behavior that I have come to expect from this Sheetz, and someone needs to be held accountable for this particular store’s consistent subpar quality.
