What Jim S doesn't like about YO! Sushi:
Vile, vile 'restaurant '. Filthy, overpriced and the food is unpleasant. Hard to fathom people queuing for this place when there 's an authentic, value for money independent sushi spot five minutes walk away. Hellish, I 'll let the disgusting photos speak for themselves. (I include the picture of the running tap as that was running when we went in and was still running an hour later when we left... the unnecessary en... View all feedback.
Sushi (specifically salmon skin, sashimi & unagi) aside from shawarma is my favorite cuisine on the face of the planet and after not having any for quite
Just so you know, Yo-Sushi and Greggs are huge chains in UK.
Very good My son's favourite restaurant (mainly on account of the conveyor belt carrying the food).
I recently tried the faux duck fries at this restaurant and they were delicious! I have been a vegetarian for over 10 years and can easily tell the difference between real meat and fake meat. Unfortunately, when I took a bite of the duck fries, I instantly knew it was real meat. My boyfriend also confirmed this when he tried it. I ended up getting a refund both times this happened. I would advise going with someone who eats meat to taste test before trying it yourself.
The service at this restaurant was excellent, and the food was also excellent once it arrived. However, the reason for writing this review is because the restaurant was in disarray. Upon entering, there was a broken iPad next to the takeaway section, which was not a good first impression. We were seated next to what appeared to be a dirty bar section, but it turned out to be a staff area. Cutlery and bowls were stored there, which seemed unnecessary considering there was a clean area just a meter away. The conveyor belt had very little food on it, and it took 15 minutes for staff to pour tap water onto an iPad before serving other tables. The food was quite salty but tasty once it arrived, although it took longer than expected. The chef in the open kitchen spent a lot of time on his phone or eating from a takeaway box, which seemed unhygienic. The waitress had to explain a service charge, which was awkward for both staff and customers. The food was good but overpriced, and the restaurant could benefit from better maintenance and staff training, especially in the hot section. It's a shame that the restaurant is not as busy as it used to be when it first opened in the early 2010s. It seems to be quiet compared to Wagamamas, which always has a queue.
