Popped in to the Lord Nelson for a drink with our little dog as it was recommended by the campsite we were staying on. The menu looked great so the next day on our bus trip back from York we stayed on the bus the extra mile to the pub to eat. Big day about jubilee bank holiday! the nelson offered a mouthwatering grillburger with a beer to celebrate. I can't wait to try her lunch! it looks great!
Went for the live music and BBQ, great evening, atmosphere was fun, the food was great and very very reasonably priced and beer was excellent will be returning for sure.
A revelation rescued from the threat of an ignominious end, this pub is now a great place to be, inside or out. Well done to all involved.
