Reviews - Carriage Crossing
Reviews summary
A Midwest staple serving hearty, Amish-style comfort food, this restaurant shines with homemade pies, cinnamon rolls and standout steaks, plus clean dining and speedy seating. Favorites include turkey, sausage and classic sides; desserts are a must. Service is often friendly and attentive, though some guests report brusque hosts and inconsistent staff attitudes. Prices are reasonable and a small gift shop adds charm, but occasional menu limitations and a sense of commercial decline have tempered longtime patrons' enthusiasm.

Wrapped up a busy morning and decided on having lunch here. The four of my colleagues agreed to do the family style lunch. How could you be disappointed with Fried Chicken, Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, salad, bread. And we got a sliceof pie for dessert. My friends told me to get a Cinnamon Roll for later that day or for the morning. Everything was trulytasty. The dessert choices were amazing so I made sure I left room. I chose the Lemon Meringue only because it was the onlything I could possibly eat. The other 3 chose Apple Pecan, Coconut Cream, Apple. If I?m back in the area again this is a muststop!
Carriage Crossing in the heart of the Midwest is quintessential Amish cuisine from all the home cooked breakfast combos ???? to lunch and dinner ???? down to the desserts ???? ???? ???? the ???? are top ???? pass by early mid or later in the day for a realhome made meal! The cinnamon rolls are hands down my ???? favorite
Had a wonderful time! A little off the beaten path when you are driving through Kansas but Carriage Crossing was a great place to stop and rest. The service was great, the people were friendly, and the food was delicious. Everything had a nice, quaint, and homey feel to it. If you?re in the area, stop by!
Food was absolutely delicious, and served in much bigger portions that I expected (which my boyfriend said was a good thing because he knows I don't eat nearly enough, and if I had known, I naturally would've asked for smaller portions)!! I wasgrateful for the leftovers later! Anyway, I don't remember her name, but our waitress was amazing!! She was so kind and patientwhen it took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to order! The store in Carriage Crossing was really cool as well!! We spendat least an hour exploring everything in there, and ended up buying several things! It was very enjoyable, the whole experiencewas! Definitely will come back in the future, probably a lot!!
Best steak I've had in a while! Everything was so fresh and delicious, staff was very friendly. Highly recommend. I usually order a blue rare steak expecting to get rare, but went ahead and ordered rare expecting medium rare. This steak was perfectlycooked, and flavored expertly! Must try!

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and it was an incredibly fun place to visit. Our group had a great time!
Delightful, cozy, and home-style Amish cuisine. I highly recommend paying a visit and especially suggest trying the Bison Chopped Steak and the cinnamon rolls!!!!
The food is out of this world delicious!! The service is amazing! It’s a must try Kansas staple!
My husband and I took our family from Tennessee to CCR on Saturday. Everything was wonderful until we went to buy cinnamon rolls. My sister-in-law wanted cinnamon rolls from the bakery case. The older cashier argued, tried to get her to take the ones wrapped in plastic and argued with her. The exchange put a bad taste in all of our mouths. We have NEVER be treated in such a disrespectful manner. I am very disappointed

The service here was wonderful! The food was phenomenal! I had the Chopped Steak, a little white Gravy on it. All right! Appetizers were also really good. We also caught some cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes that were delicious by the way. I definitely recommend coming here if you ever visit the McPherson area for the salt mine.
This was my first visit, and I absolutely loved it! The portions are generous for the price, and the baked goods are simply too tempting to resist. I can't wait to enjoy the enormous cinnamon rolls later. I highly recommend this place and I look forward to returning!
Carriage Crossing is a decent restaurant, though somewhat underwhelming. It shares a similar atmosphere with Cracker Barrel but has a simpler, less decorated interior. The highlight is definitely the pies—they’re rich and flavorful. The small gift shop adds a nice touch as well. During our visit, only about five pie options were available, and some items from the pie menu couldn’t be ordered. Overall, it’s a good place to try, with reasonable prices, but nothing extraordinary.
The food was outstanding, the service attentive, and the prices very fair. Everything is made from scratch, from the bread and cinnamon honey butter to the delicious mashed potatoes. This was my first time here, but it definitely won’t be the last. They also feature a charming gift shop filled with handmade goods from the Amish community.
Whenever we're in Kansas, we always make a stop at Carriage Crossing. Their menu offers exceptional dishes paired with outstanding hospitality. You definitely won’t leave hungry. In fact, after a meal, you might be tempted to skip dessert, but trust me, you should order the pie—even to take home—because it’s absolutely fantastic.
