I had breakfast here this morning and the customer service was outstanding. The meal was also a great value for the price. We will definitely be bringing more family and friends back in the near future. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Seven South:
I visited for breakfast and lunch on a Saturday around 2:30 PM, but the kitchen only offered a salmon snack or fried salmon snack with three canapés. They didn’t even mention the price. We ordered two servings, a bowl of sweet potatoes, and two coffees, and it came to $64. Luckily, I had an Entertainment Book voucher, which gave me a 25% discount. It feels misleading to advertise all-day breakfast and lunch if it doe... View all feedback.
Waited for an hour to eat. it looks good, but I won't come back.
Our favourite cafe...great coffee, delicious menu and dog friendly!
I am lucky this is local but unfortunately too many people have discovered it so unless you book in advance getting a table for weekend breakfastvis challenging. The free range scrambled eggs are great and I am very fussy about scrambled eggs!
Saw this cafe on a FB list for 5 best Brisbane cafes...their review was spot on. Seven South definitely has the trifecta; great service, food and ambience. Staff are plentiful and so helpful, all the food being delivered around to customers looked like artwork and it was just such a happy and positive atmosphere. Vegetarian options were great too. Thanks Seven South...will be back again!
I'll start with the good: Like most cafes these days, this place has quite a trendy, hipster feel, combination of wood earthy feel with a wall of plants, mismatched tiles, open to the fresh air outside. A really warm, relaxed and inviting feel, and it helps that it's based in a fairly quiet suburban area. Drinks seem pretty good. My latte tasted decent (not sure which beans they use), the mango and coconut smoothie was REALLY good (like a liquefied Weiss ice cream bar). And the service? Really nice. Everyone was friendly, helpful, attentive without being harassing. Can't say the same for the fly which kept bothering us and our food. The bad: The food. Straight up disappointed with the uninspiring meals. They do all day breakfast (yay), and so we ordered the fried potato and parmesan cakes with salmon and the pork fennel sausage with beans. The potato cakes were very average. The salmon was poached and quite tasteless with the best thing on the plate being the avocado aioli. The sausages were really dry and bland with the rest of the dish not really worth mentioning. With the hype from previous reviews, we were left pretty disappointed overall. Perhaps they were just having one of those off days with the food, or perhaps we just ordered the wrong things. Whichever the case may be, I currently can't recommend checking this place out as there are far better brunch/coffee alternatives around Brisbane. So for drinks: decent. Food: not so good. I will give them a go again in future, but not any time soon...
