Had dinner here our first night in Yeppoon, they were very very busy, I ordered the vegetarian risotto and it was delicious yummo, the hubby had the scotch fillet and veggies and he loved it, he scoffed it down pretty fast lol. The service was very friendly but we waited a bit for our meals, I would say that was because they were extremely busy though. Overall we really enjoyed our night here. View all feedback.
What Lisbet Strömberg doesn't like about Keppel Bay Sailing Club:
A friend had recommended that we go for dinner with the buffet however I found the buffet a bit boring. Would have enjoyed more variety but the food was nice. Had the garlic prawns with rice but the rice was just a tad undercooked. Have had better View all feedback.
Good service and good meals, decent size meals, good big screen for sports watching ... Tip the cob loaf is a make your own garlic bread not a dipping cob loaf
Visited this club on 31st July 2017 as we were staying in Yeppoon. I wanted to have a steak as the area is known as the beef capital of Australia. Unfortunately it was a Monday night so quite a few eateries were closed so our choice was limited. The Motel owner had actually suggested that we should go to one of the local pubs as they do a great steak but after checking the menu I decided that the rib eye at the club was going to be better than the rump at the pub. I rang the club to book a table and to confirm that the steak was locally sourced and was, in fact, rib eye. I was assured it came from a local butcher and was definitely rib eye. Into the club and ordered a medium rare rib eye. What I got was a medium (at best) lump of rump! Big indication that it wasn't rib eye was the amount of gristle left on my plate at the end of the meal. And this all cost me $37!! What a rip-off! The rump at the pub was about $20!! I accept that I should have sent it back but I did not want to make a scene - silly me.All round a very disappointing visit to the beef capital especially seeing the trouble I had gone to to ensure that I was going to get a great steak! Probably the most expensive rump I have ever had in my life!
Great place for a get together and a meal. The view of the bay and islands is great and easy to to look at while eating. Easy to get to as are all places in Yeppoon by walking
We had dinner here mid-week and arrived on time for our 7pm booking. Table service is provided and, after ordering drinks immediately, we ordered our food at 7.15. We were advised by staff before ordering our meals that there would be a 45 minute wait for our meals. Hmm. A bit excessive but we weren’t in a hurry so accepted the situation – at least they were managing our expectations up front. Our meals eventually arrived at 8.30 pm without so much as a hint of an apology or acknowledgement of the delay which was way beyond the predicted 45 minute wait. One hour and 15 minutes between ordering and delivering food. The food was ok but not value for money in our opinion and we felt it was overpriced. This was the first and last time we will frequent the Sailing Club.
Following a pub meal surrounded by children the night before it was lovely to enjoy a haven of good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Great menu and friendly professional service. Good wine list and served by staff who know what wine to recommend Highly recommend.Make sure your booking is for the Club (waterside) and not on the town side which offers a more family friendly environment.
