Fish and chips were yummy, as were the sweet potato cakes. good friendly service, a little slow but worth the wait. Tables and chairs available both inside and at the causeway. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Causeway Lake Kiosk:
I ordered a serve of chips cheese and gravy, but what I got was gravy, chips and little bit of cheese. I normally get this order and love it every time, but on this day there was at least 6L of gravy. They should of given me a straw instead of fork!! save yourself the money and go to cedar park takeaway. P.S customer service from the kids that work there is appalling. View all feedback.

Really enjoyed the fish and chips. I was surprised by the two surcharges of which I was not aware. One for public holiday and credit card. The outside eating area was filthy. A pile of dirt under the table and the floor needed a good wash.
Stopped for lunch and I had battered Spanish mackerel and salad. Food was great and staff friendly. Well worth stopping in fo good food and great coffee.
I arrived in Queensland just before lunchtime with no clear idea what I was doing… flight covered, hire car organised … but no map. Late in the afternoon I found accommodation in Emu Park… after wandering around the township for hours I went for a drive in the early evening. The Causeway is one of those stunning locations that surprise you in Queensland because they are so under commercialised which is also the reason we love them. I ordered my meal and an older gentleman struck up a conversation turns out that he lives in the North East part of the state of Victoria ironic that I would chat to a stranger from my “home” area. Service at this cafe is very good young men run the business. I ordered what I thought was a basic burger thinking it was pricey at $11. Oh my god it had onions, beetroot, lettuce, cucumber way too much … but yummy. There is street parking with water views. My guess is that while there is inside/outside seating most people would take their food away to have looking at the view.
What a fabulous place to buy your fish and chips and eat them on a picnic bench overlooking the lake. The fish and chips were great cooked beautifully and some of the best chips we’ve had in a long time. A lovely experience!
