A hotel in a national park. Expect above-average hotel food at tourist prices. But be honest, the price is part of convenience and part of experience! It is a beautiful dining area with an incredible history, the atmosphere is comfortable. The staff is great! They serve the hotel guests only since then? back, but that's because they have to be able to stay the people who stay in the inn. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Old Faithful Inn Dining Room:
A magnificent dining room full of architectural details with the fireplace, lighting, the lodge atmosphere. Buffet food was the only service at the time we ate there. We have a late reservation time, about 830? It looks like tour groups are offered in the early restaurant and other guest guests are fed later in the inn. The servers have a lot to do, and support wait employees do their best to maintain. The buffet lin... View all feedback.
If you want to eat here, book in advance! We came in October and I thought with the low season it would be easy to make a reservation when we arrived, but they fill up quickly. We enjoyed the buffet, the main rib was excellent and there was a good selection of sides, salad, etc.
This is actually the worst culinary experience I had in a decade. I rarely write criticism, but this experience (except for the waiter who was nice) was over terrible. First, this is quite expensive, it starts at $40 per person for a buffet. For this type of meal and price (especially at buffet) I expect at least average food and an average experience (apparently on site). But instead I got a buffet that was a mess, missing several items and not completely in stock, and at the end of the day was just a few things. Not only that, but the food that was in stock was terrible the whole vegetables was extremely over salty, the fish was well cooked, but it was extremely easy, the chicken was over boiled, and I could go on. Finally, the desert was boiled apples mixed with sugar boiled oats and skillfully whip cream It came to the point after my first record (even after starving) I couldn't finish it because it wasn't enjoyable. The waiting staff was nice and friendly, I mentioned the problems and got a reduced bill which after a several hundred dollars check was quite the only possible. I ask the staff and the management to improve the quality here, I really wanted it to be an unforgettable experience for my family? but not this kind of unforgettable.

The buffet line was long, but as soon as we reached the start, it was good to see hot soup, salad, hot sides and meat and fish offers. the pepper soup was best I ever had. The dessert this night was apple crisp, and delicious and every bite. for $40 everyone, the staff makes it a good culinary experience.
Food was pretty good (for a Natl Park restaurant). Server was really nice and attentive. I really liked their pepper and gouda cheese soup. For the record, we went there 45 minutes before closing time and waited 15 minutes for a table.
The building is spectacular. Cathedral like in scope, but still warm and cozy. The dining room is well laid out with tables spread out so you're not on top of the other diners. The wait staff are so nice and get their job done with aplomb. The food is good. Maybe a bit basic on the salad side but the appetizer, soups, and mains are excellent. Nice wine list as well.
