Reservations were a must, and despite our 9:15 reservation, we didn't get seated until 9:30 due to a long line. The last seating was at 10:00, and we were informed that the bread baskets had run out. The buffet menu cost $40, with additional charges for drinks. Overall, the food was good and the service was acceptable, but the experience was expensive and not quite as expected. What User doesn't like about Old Faithful Inn Dining Room:
it was about the only eating that was 40 dollars per person, after we stand 45 minutes in the line to get a plate of kartoffel, huh, prime rib and salat, we finally had to sit down. that was under the average for the cost and our opinion after the money was not worth. we wouldn't eat there again. pack their own food or eat them outside the park. My family had the breakfast and dinner buffets, since that was all that was available. The breakfast buffet was good, but the dinner one was highly over priced. There were no signs of what things were, other than 2 that did not match the food, and the staff wasn't sure either. The food seemed overly complex like they felt the need to add extra ingredients to match the price. Simple meat and potatoes after a day of hiking would have been nice. Staff was friendly and helpful at breakfast but seemed worn out by dinner.
One of the worst buffets you will ever see. Food was not replenished and was cold. The health inspector should be shutting them down for improper temperatures. The buffet itself was dirty as no staff was there to clean up any spills or change out serving utensils. We were there only 1 hour after they opened by the way. The first item was a dessert cobble that was scrapped out and empty. Never replaced. Why not have a separate dessert table? Two soup holders were empty so we can't comment on that. The salad bar was a bin of lettuce. All the salad fixings were empty. What was left of the entrees was sorry, rubbery chicken, salmon? couldn't really tell as it was in pieces. The carving station for the prime rib looked good but was cold. They probably roast it early in the day and let it sit out all afternoon. It had no taste. Was really amazing that we never saw a single staff member even walk by the buffet. We heard later that right after us they ran out of plates and food. After talking to manager they gave us 20% off. We cancelled all the rest of reservations there for the week and ate at Snow Lodge dining room. That was very good.
The dining room of the historical old believe inn radiates atmosphere. reservations are one must. in juni 2022 was only a buffet dinner available due to personal lack. it was pretty good, but also quite expensive. service was friendly and quite fast.

I would rather be beaten up by five angry wild baboons that eat the ‘food’ they serve here. Cheese looks and tastes like vomit. Wish I could rate 0 stars.
