I thought the rooms would be nicer than the Nova, but they're not. Nothing fancy and the room cleanliness wasn't up to my personal standards. The pillows feel like they are stuffed with rags or socks so hard and lumpy that I had to go buy a pillow from Walmart. No air conditioning which in Yellowknife isn't a huge concern but the windows don't open and after showering the room gets stuffy so shower early, don't be like me and shower right before bed or it is hard to fall asleep as it is too hot!! The trapline lounge is awesome. Actually, it was the best part of our 3 day stay.
I just arrived at the hotel today. Ms Sonali checked me in this afternoon. I’d like to offer high compliment for Ms Sonali. She’s professional and personable. It was a pleasure to interact with her. She’s very quick to offer her help for all the questions I have. I’m very impressed by her dedication to excellent customer service.
Great hotel with enormous rooms. The finishings are, however, a bit dated and could use a renovation. It has a good restaurant downstairs with tasty food and is walking distance to downtown.
This is the first hotel I've stayed at that didn't have a bathroom fan, which led to significant condensation on our toiletries. The maintenance staff mentioned that this is a common issue in all the rooms. We were placed here by the airline for two nights because of technical problems with our flight.
This was my third time visiting the hotel for a business meeting, and overall, it was a positive experience. The staff were very accommodating and did their utmost to meet our needs. I used their meeting rooms for our two-day sessions; however, I did face some issues with the banquet staff. One staff member, in particular, was rather rude and tried to dictate terms, which was disappointing. Nevertheless, the overall experience was excellent. The food was delicious, and the hotel's ambiance is truly remarkable.
