Previous visits were good. This time service was terrible. Told us the specials, ordered same. Came back 10 minutes later to say no longer valid. Removed cutlery from table we no longer needed them! . Ordered Domair (from Halifax) meat overcooked, hardly any sauce. When finished waitress removed plate napkin while I was still finishing my beverage. Hovered over shoulder while paying by credit card. Needles to say we will NOT be returning to Monkey Tree next time in Yellowknife.

I visited the MT twice this month and while the atmosphere is great, I truly think I could make better food in a microwave. On both visits, the dishes were overcooked and dry, making me suspect we were being served reheated leftovers from the previous day. The wings, especially, were so tough that I feel like they could be used to drive nails into oak!
It was amazing! The DJ was exceptional and had a great knack for selecting the perfect songs at just the right moments. Saturday nights are the highlight of the week, especially when DJ Godson is in charge of the tunes!
