Once a vibrant café, Javaroma has evolved into a beloved spot for both locals and tourists in the heart of Yellowknife's old town. Offering a cozy ambiance and a spacious seating area, it is an inviting retreat, especially during the chilly months. While the coffee experience can be inconsistent, with espresso drinks sometimes lacking the required finesse, patrons appreciate the quality of the food, including delicious breakfast options and tasty sandwiches. With reasonable prices and a charming locale, Javaroma remains a favorable choice for those seeking warmth and comfort in their coffee journey.

I visited this restaurant twice during my trip. The first time, I ordered the egg and bacon bagel and politely requested that the bacon be cooked well or crispy. It wasn't busy at all, and they said they would do their best. However, when I received my sandwich, the bacon looked barely cooked. On my next visit, I tried the peanut butter and jelly bagel, but it was disappointing as well—there was no peanut butter, just a lot of jelly. Once again, the place was not busy. It seems like the person preparing the food is being quite careless with these very simple sandwiches.

Great spot with a modern vibe. It has a slightly generic feel, but the latte exceeded my expectations, and I appreciate that they stay open late. While I have no complaints, nothing particularly stands out, which is a bit disappointing since I might not have noticed it if I passed by. It’s somewhat of a hidden gem. If I had to nitpick, the Coke fridge seems a bit out of place.

This is a charming and cozy outdoor spot for both tourists and locals in Yellowknife. It's conveniently located in the heart of the old town, within walking distance from the tourist hotels. We visited twice during our stay in Yellowknife and enjoyed some refreshing, hot beverages.
