At first, I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish it all, but the complex flavors of the relish, the soft texture of the damper, and the delightful crunch of the crust made it irresistible. Before I knew it, I had devoured the entire dish! As a coffee lover, I’m usually quick to criticize if I get a bad cup, but I was so absorbed in my damper and relish that I didn’t even touch my coffee until it was gone! With all this goodness, you might wonder how it could possibly get better. Well, that relish I mentioned? You can actually buy a bottle to take home and enjoy the experience again whenever you want. However, if you’re looking for that special touch that comes with the damper, you’ll have to return to the restaurant—I know I will!
I celebrated my 70th birthday dinner here with 24 family and friends, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. The venue is small, making it more private and quieter, which was exactly what I wanted. Wayne and the waitstaff made my evening truly special, from the outstanding and delicious food to accommodating allergies. The waitresses took our orders professionally and were attentive to every request we had. To top it off, Wayne kindly cut and served the birthday cake we brought. I couldn't have asked for a more delightful and memorable evening! I will definitely be returning soon.
This is a charming little café with a pleasant atmosphere. The food is great, and it’s a peaceful place to relax.
A delight pre-Mother’s Day dinner in a warm restaurant with lovely ambiance and even better food. The gnocchi is seriously good, the calamari was divine, but the home made chocolate mousse was the standout. The owner and chef took time out to sit and talk in what is obviously a restaurant that is very much loved by the local community. Highly recommended.
Stumbled across this lovely cafe whilst meeting a friend for lunch in Yarra Glen. Neither of us had been as we recently moved from WA. Couldn't have been made more welcome by Wayne the hostess. It happened to be my sons 1st birthday Wayne came out with a birthday cake (yummy brownie by the way), a candle a little 1. He sung happy birthday which just melted my heart. The chicken caesar salad was yummy. I watched Wayne with his customers he treated them like friends. Very friendly compassionate. I will be back here again, simply for the customer service, beautiful food happy atmosphere.
