we have often been with gather and it is always a great experience. my wife won a competition for us to have a three-course menu on the house. this happened during a power failure. the meal was canceled, but we had already fed a babysitter. gather was gracious enough to treat us anyway. their appetizers are great, but their main thing is always blown. her ochnschwanzpozole is from this world. This restaurant is fantastic, but the operating hours are a bit unusual. I would recommend opening at 6am and staying open on Saturdays for breakfast. I would run it seven days a week or consider only serving breakfast if closing for dinner. My group and I were disappointed to find out it was closed on a Saturday when we wanted to have breakfast there. Despite this, the food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch with a perfect score of 5.
Outstanding experience at this restaurant. We dined in for dinner and the price per person ranged from $50 to $100. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect rating of 5. Highly recommend trying the Maine Burger.
The restaurant was just average and considering the prices, I would have expected higher quality.
Gather is an absolute gem...the Peruvian chicken with cilantro jalapeño sauce was possibly the best plate of food I've had in maine ever. Stunningly delicious and unique and perfect. Service was personable and professional, and the cocktails were polished and well made. The one large room on a rainy night was warm and friendly, and while there is a large communal table, 80pct of the seating is normal. A new love! Food: 5
