What Mike F doesn't like about Minervas Grill Convention Center:
This is a business that doesn't want business for some reason? The food is subpar and not worth the price with terrible management currently. I have frequently eaten here only because the dining choices in Yankton are few and in hopes of seeing improvement but it's not going to happen I'm done. I've eaten every item on the menu and its hit or miss they really need an overhaul in the kitchen and management. I attempte... View all feedback.
Awesome food. Great service. I had the hunters steak. It was great! Nice to have a great eatery fastened on to our hotel.
I like finding little gems like these in these small towns. They had a great bar area. Bartender was great, drinks were great. Wife had a steak, I had the walleye. Very tasty; We walked over from the KOA. If you are in town and need a nice place to eat, I heartily recommend this place.

Is this 5 star dining? No. Is this you 're tired from traveling and you want a drink and drunchies ? Yes. Staff was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. Got mules, nachos, and a burger. Drinks were tasty and did the trick and the food was great boring bar food. The fries were good. Nachos were tasty chips with nacho cheese and some toppings. Got cheesecake to go and it was great for later.
We were looking for a good steak house, but this wasn 't it. The decor was interesting, in that 1920 's haunted mansion sort of way, but the atmosphere was more like a cafeteria run by Tim Conway being his The Oldest Man character. The same awful song track played over and over (we heard it 3 times). The prices we 're absorbent, the price of a steak was $49, Prime Rib was $39, which might of been fine, if it tasted good. It was very thick, which was nice, but it had a very strong oregano flavor from the rub they used and the middle was raw even though I ordered medium rare. The salad dressing had obviously been mixed days before, as the mayonnaise used to make it was oily and warm. I got an ice tea (for $3.50) that was, I kid you not, the color of water with a tea bag swirled through it. The wait staff was rude. I asked if they could get me a stronger brew but I was simply told, no . When I pointed out that this was strictly water, she told me she wouldn 't charge me, in a not so friendly way. I then ordered lemon aid, which, I am certain, was Kool Aid. My husband had fried chicken that was okay, but still very expensive. Bottom line: we paid $70 for prime rib and fried chicken, two small baked potatoes, with paper tubes of sour cream, sorry salads and water.
