The drinks were poorly made, as the person mixing them was also preparing sushi, and seemed to lack bartending experience. They only had two martini glasses, which were quickly confiscated once emptied. I ordered a Cosmopolitan, which came in a juice glass, and it contained the wrong ingredients with an excessive amount of vodka. The water glasses varied greatly in size, making the experience even more inconsistent. As for the food, everyone in our party ordered from the hibachi grill. The cook appeared very inexperienced, frequently dropping his utensils. Three people ordered salmon, and it was spoiled, while those who chose chicken received it overcooked. The vegetables accompanying the stir-fry had a stale taste. Having dined at numerous Japanese hibachi grill restaurants before, I can confidently say this was the worst experience I've had. The service was lacking as well; our server didn't seem to care about our concerns and even dismissed my request to speak to the manager as if it was a joke. In my opinion, this restaurant deserves a visit from the Virginia Health Department to ensure they meet health regulations and proper standards—or to potentially be shut down altogether. The staff struggled to communicate in English, which hindered effective interaction with customers. I don't know what the locals in Wytheville are accustomed to, but this establishment certainly does not meet standards for safe dining. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
