Just had tasty meal after church today. Buffet was excellent. Noticed the alcohol beverage license when leaving.Very upsetting!! Shoney's is a buffet style,FAMILY restaurant. We visit frequently and enjoy the friendliness of the staff as well as the food. We will continue to eat there until alcohol sales begin. I was surprised at how small the meal was, 3 small pieces of fish, and 4 small shrimp, nothing like the photo depicts, upgraded salad was also small for a house salad. No hush puppies! The food was good, but the portion sizes were disappointing, especially for a $30+ meal. JWS View all feedback.
The steak was cooked perfectly as requested. The catfish was outstanding! However, the shrimp and oysters were overcooked, and the clam strips were predominantly batter. The baked potato was hard, and the salad arrived without any dressing.
I was taken aback by the small portion size of the meal. It included just three tiny pieces of fish and four small shrimp—nothing like what was shown in the photos. The upgraded salad was also disappointingly small for a house salad. To top it off, there were no hush puppies! While the food itself tasted good, the portion sizes left much to be desired, especially for a meal that cost over $30. - JWS
I was disappointed with the quantity and freshness of the fried chicken. It was advertised as four pieces, but I only received two, and they were dry and cold.
Ordered crispy chicken, got grilled. potato soup is like water. missing chocolate cake.
