What R Edwards doesn't like about Graze On Main:
To make matters worse, there were two songs playing simultaneously over the intercom, creating an overwhelming noise that made it hard to enjoy the meal. It felt like the staff was overwhelmed, especially with patrons at the other three tables also expressing their complaints. The bread served was stale, and when I requested more, I was given extra butter instead.
I also had to deal with gnats throughout the meal, a... View all feedback.
The food was delicious and the carrot cake we decided unanimously was the best we ever had. Our server Quenton was only the most friendly, attentive and pleasant person and we could not have been happier with our visit and experience. Next time Quenton would enjoy as our server.
Excellent service overall. Food was very good. Particularly enjoyed the pimento cheese, which was served warm with housemade pita chips. Excellent rolls included with the meal. Large portions. Only 'complaint ' no bread plates were brought out so we had to put our rolls on the table. Will definitely return. A real treat.
We learned of Graze on Main while staying at the Bolling-Wilson Hotel. It's in the the lobby. Reservations are recommended as the placed is not very big. The restaurant has fabulous food. Their chef is excellent. Unfortunately, this night the service was slow and inattentive. Perhaps they were understaffed. However, when our meals arrived they were well-portioned, hot and full of flavor. So delicious! My wife enjoyed the Pork Roulade. Too bad it lacked much of the spinach dip which was promise to be stuffed in it. Yet, the bourbon-mustard reduction and sweet potato mash grilled asparagus were very tasty and made up for it. As for me, I absolutely reveled in the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. It was beyond scrumptious! The crispy fried chicken is dipped in hot sauce, served on a Kaiser roll atop crisp lettuce, thinly sliced house pickles and homemade blue cheese alioli. Tender and juicy with flavor. Add home cut fries... I was a happy man. With food as good as what's being served at the Graze in Main, it's easy to forgive a few missteps.
First visit since the Covid pandemic started. In the past I have both stayed at the hotel and dined here. This night was dinner only. I sat at the busy bar and had a terrific cocktail from Brianna(?? along with a very nice meal of the broiled trout. Wish I had stayed here but I'm behind on my stay/nights count with Hilton so stayed at the local Tru by Hilton .... I'll stay at the Bolling Wilson next visit.
We ate here while traveling through Wytheville and it was a fantastic experience! Our waitress was fun and made excellent recommendations. We got the fried green tomatoes, graze salad, trout with brussel sprouts (upgraded the side to the appetizer style with goat cheese and bacon) and mac and cheese, fried chicken with the same brussel sprouts and corn casserole, and a slice of the carrot cake. We all loved the food! The only thing that was just ok was the mac and cheese, but our waitress wasn't kidding that the carrot cake is worth trying, makes sense why it got its own article in the newspaper!
