The warm welcome we received on enteri... read more Just visiting the area, we were looking for somewhere in Poulton to dine and decided to try this restaurant. Glad we did. The warm welcome we received on entering was simply a precursor to the friendly and informative service throughout the meal. The food was every part the equal to the service. A party of four, we shared a few tapas dishes and then paella. This was as good as anywhere we have enjoyed Spanish cuisine, be it in the UK or in Spain. If we lived locally, we would certainly be going back agaiin me gusta mucho!!!!!

The waitress didn't apologize for the delay, she simply said she would check on them. The starters arrived shortly after, but the mushrooms were lukewarm and my husband's chicken was just okay. To make matters worse, our mains were brought out just two minutes later while we were still eating the starters. Despite being hungry, we didn't complain at the time. When we went to settle the bill, we were asked if everything was okay. I mentioned that the food was good, but the wait was too long. The response I received from the barman was disappointing - he only asked if the food was okay. I felt that they should have offered us a complimentary drink or a discount on the bill for the inconvenience, but they seemed indifferent. I believe the situation could have been handled more professionally and as a result, I won't be returning to this restaurant. While I understand that staff can be busy, it is also important for them to prioritize customer care.
