What AthensBulldawg likes about Ashley's Bakery:
Popped in to check out the bakery on the way to the museum. Saw a basket of jam-filled sugar doughnuts near the window and bought a couple to share with my buddy. Tasty and just the thing for a welcome bite. The service was pleasant and the price reasonable. Love going into local bakeries around the world to try the offerings. I was standing in the doorway because the shop was full so I was in the queue. A woman from behind the counter burst out and shouted “move from in the doorway I need to get in and out”! No please can you move or anything! So I said if that is how you talk to your customers you can stick your bread! The most rude person I have have met in a shop! read moreNestled in the heart of Bewdley, this bakery offers a mix of experiences that can leave customers either delighted or disheartened. While some patrons rave about the tasty treats and friendly service, particularly enjoying the ploughman's pork pie and fresh cream cakes, others report issues with rude behavior and unsanitary practices. Sandwiches and filled rolls receive praise for their freshness, but inconsistent service and product availability have led some to reconsider their visits. With a charming atmosphere and quality offerings, this bakery remains a local favorite, though improvements in service and hygiene are certainly needed.
