We visited Old Faithful on May 30, 2022, and it was quite cold outside with an expected eruption time about 45 minutes away. So, we decided to grab a bite in the cafeteria. We found a table for two by a window with a view of the great veranda. We ordered BBQ and two drinks. I was pleasantly surprised by the food; I expected it to be worse. The lodge had a pleasant interior, but its exterior appeared somewhat outdated. Dining here was quite pricey, though that was to be expected.

We found a table for two by a window with a view of the great veranda. We ordered BBQ and two drinks. I was pleasantly surprised by the food; I expected it to be worse. We tried the carbonated drinks, and the mango flavor was definitely the best. The main dining area is quite spacious. Our total bill came to $31.94. There was a young man clearing the tables, but it would be helpful if they provided a way for us to dispose of our own dishes. As we were leaving, we noticed a spot that looked like where we could return our trays, but it wasn't clearly marked.
