What Myles Roettger likes about Homestead Restaurant:
Service was a bit slow but we were there when they opened the door so staff was still getting things started up. I had the breakfast special with three eggs, three kinds of meat, hash browns and toast for less than $12. The only downside of the restaurant was a piece of equipment making a loud noise kind of like a large dog moaning. Parking: We parked right in front of the door. View all feedback. What Mann doesn't like about Homestead Restaurant:
Twice, I got undercooked raw chicken breast for my burger order. First time I thought, mistakes happens. Second time, big NO. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. I would rather starve than to eat there going forward. Plus who puts white onion and only one olive in greek salad View all feedback.

I don't have any pictures, but their food was absolutely delicious for a small restaurant hidden in a small town. You would miss this place if you stuck to the...
read moreHomestead restaurant has received mixed reviews from guests, with some expressing disappointment in the dry and tough meat dishes, such as the Greek platter and chicken alfredo. However, others have raved about the delicious food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The breakfast special and pizza have been particularly praised by patrons. The service has been described as slow at times, but generally friendly and accommodating. Overall, Homestead seems to be a hidden gem worth visiting for those willing to venture off the beaten path.
Great breakfast for a great price! If you go for lunch or dinner- you must try the lemon rice soup! My absolute favorite!
Had an excellent experience at The Wheel located 7430 Indianapolis Boulevard in Hammond, IN 46324.
Service lacking wait staff stretching sauces It really once was a true gem.
