What julie c doesn't like about Checketts:
This restaurant has the absolute worst service I have ever experienced. My second visit was just as bad as the first. The staff seemed more interested in polishing bottles than serving the customers. We had to wait over half an hour just to be acknowledged, only to be told they were out of coke, diet coke, and pizza. We ended up giving up and going home. View all feedback.
Wow! a random stop on the stretch to house, large coffee and tasty speck roll all foods looked lovely. very nice staff.
Big small business come deli come caffe come metzger, oh and don't forget weinellers. eating is fantastic

I was only immersed for a coffee and cake and was greeted by their very friendly and helpful staff and felt appreciated, I was looking for my next visit:
Went to Checketts to get our pies on the last day of pie week, ok not much left on a Sunday but we had a steak and mushroom plus mince meat and onion 2x£10 instead of £6.50 each...wow they were amazing great flavour, great produce and the pastry was delicious...simply the best...btw staff and so welcoming and knowledgable...thanks for making Sunday dinner so amazing!
