I do not expect all boxes to be ticked but I could not complain about the good quality food, beer and wine on offer. Rare to experience a brilliant Wye Valley ale, a perfect rib eye well aged steak, and good red wine in one sitting. They had no shot of Tequila to offer though, which is just as well!! And no cheeseboard which may have killed me regardless. Six of us paid nearly 300, and worth every penny. View all feedback.
What Elizabeth Williams doesn't like about The Chequers At Crowle:
Looks nice but mediocre. Soup was over heated and more like a consome. Loos not good. Staff were lovely. It just doesn't smell or feel as classy as it should be. View all feedback.
Great service, first visit! Food was delicious but slightly on the higher end cost wise. Lovely pub, would definitely return.
What a gem. Found them on park4night. We popped in for beer and food lovely. We stayed for the night in our campervan. Thanks, guys. we loved our stay
We have become new locals and already found our home for great food, service and family enjoyment as well as a quiet evening beer. We enjoyed the roast dinner for the first time, and what comes out looks amazing and one might think it’s not enough but the meat portion and beautiful veg, Yorkshire pud’s and pugs in blankets were gorgeous. Even better it was all gluten free!

Firstly a 60th birthday celebration. 6 guests pre booked. We'd been sat waiting for 30 mins for any sort of service. I had the starter of crabcakes which at best was Very bland in flavour served alongside some green leaves with a smattering of mayonnaise. Mains was Roast pork which turned out to be belly draft very fatty served with cold then reheated possibly deep fried roast potatoes, thin slice of parsnip , carrot , mashed swede, cabbage and peas. All served Luke warm. If this floats your boat then go but expect to be waiting an eternity to get served. Thank you Chequers you spoiled a lovely day.
