Katzengold - Wuppertal

Finally “Aperol Spray Weather” in Wuppertal, a little earlier evening and a little determined to sit outside. There are only two regions close to the city. In the first crowded restaurant chains or stop the Luisenstraße and there the cult status owned cat gold, rather pub than restaurant. On the sidewalk there is a series of blue painted garden tables, with folding chairs, you sit relatively comfortable, the road next door almost only frequented by cyclists. The internal is not the subject of this criticism. We gattered a table in the sun, Aperol splash was clear, hunger though early afternoon came also. There is a card with small items, salads, soups, rugs etc, with some daily dishes on a table. We ordered a salad with steak stripes and since it was more hand-resistant to me, one was also a (additional salad with whole rag steak, the pretty only meat dish, optionally with pepper sauce or herbal butter. The Aperol splash somewhat disappointing in white wine glass, marginal, was not so the hit I know from Italy much better and visually more beautiful. The food was ok, the salad optionally with yogurt or vinegar/oil dressing, we had nothing desired and got vinegar/oil unfortunately somewhat faded, but nicely colorful, the steak with supplement salad, “medium” was slightly covered in time when the steak came out of the pan, the herbal butter probably more a finished product, plus a Berg Pommes Frites. Two final espresso, very good, there are rarely better in Italy. The service could be more present, the food ok, ambience also, the sun hourd, but rather not to evaluate. The criticism expressly does not relate to service and ambience inside and is certainly only a snapshot conclusion: The advertising slogan „Katzengold – damn near the gastronomy“ is probably a bit further away this time. I decided to evaluate the overall impression here (not the individual areas according to the scheme of a kitchen trip. This review background is solved by a restaurant classification. This can apply to both a star place and a pizzeria or a snack. I think that's fair, every restaurant category will be fair, and I'd find it nice if other friends would join it and get this through for the overall impression here. Overall impression: 3 – if it results again (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – definitely back to kitchen trip

I cannot recommend this place. We went here twice both evenings the daily menu was already sold out early. The restaurants standard menu is not impressive....
