Some pubs have stayed closed and the Nags Head should probably have been one of them. Covered seating takes you back to Pre 2007 when bars stunk of cigarette smoke and there's signs of other things being inhaled there too as the pic shows. Paying was uncomfortable as a member of staff disappeared with my card and came back with no receipt. I had to check my online banking to see how much I'd been charged. The table was falling apart and was more like sitting on a see-saw.
Nice friendly staff and the rugby league World Cup was on.
Like the cheap prices. Landlady could do with been a bit more customer friendly as she asked what you want as pouring your pint she talks to people sat at end of bar not been bothered about customer she serving.
New bar for me but did not have any real ales,. Staff ok and if you like lager ok bar
Not too sure that the missing reviews for this pub. located in the center of the village heckington, the pub has a very prominent position and potential. Although a bit shady around the edges the main public areas were clean and tidy. the fish and chips were of excellent quality and delivered quite quickly to the table. there were no other meal in the offer and nothing to suspect that food is available at other times. Of course, I am sure that all this is addressed by the current operators and I will call again for my Friday lunch appointment.
