Then, and this is NO joke, I was given a tube of Heinz B... read more A complete rip-off and a scam. I ordered a steak with barbecue sauce and paid a few euros extra for it. Then, and this is NO joke, I was given a tube of Heinz BBQ sauce. Seriously?! It doesn't get much more outrageous than that. And they even charged extra for it! The food was okay, but nothing special. The portion was quite small for the price. All in all, I will avoid this place in the future and won't recommend it to my friends. Anyone who rips off customers like this doesn't deserve their business!

The ambiance is great, the view of the cathedral is sensational. Unfortunately, the restaurant will be closing soon; it probably wasn't doing well in Worms. I can't say anything about the food, but the lemonade was great. The service was attentive, but things got tricky when it came to the bill... Personally, I think the restaurant is simply too big to be profitable. It's a real shame, actually.

The food was good (apart from the constantly burnt fries), the cocktails were okay for the price (they come from a machine), but they were pretty generic, sweet swill. The decor suffered over the years. Then a bar opened in Worms with really good cocktails and a more mature clientele, and we rarely went to the Mauritius anymore. Since it's closing soon and we were nearby, we recently decided to have something to eat there. The pinsa is really good and the Caribbean chicken is really tasty, but I still think the prices, including the drinks, are too high, especially for Worms. What has been absolutely deplorable for a few years now is the condition of the restrooms, and nothing has changed. So, the food is great, the decor is okay (because it's run down), but the prices and restrooms are terrible. And that's just how you don't get a clientele that can afford the prices! It's a shame, really.
